One person’s trash is another’s treasure especially when it comes to cosplay.
Got three meters of yellow PVC you got on sale gathering dust in the back of your closet, or a kilo of red sculpty you never used? Or that pair of white boots that pinch your feet? A box of 1980s bridesmaid dress patterns in size 24? Well this is good because now you can swap it for something awesome at the SPCC super swap.
DETAILS:
Time: 12:30 - 2:30
Date: Sunday, March 7th
Location: Toi Pōneke Arts Centre, 61 - 69 Abel Smith Street, Te Aro. (just up the road from real
groovy) http://www.wellington.govt.nz/services/arts/centre/artscentre.html
How does it work?: We'll be exchanging cosplay supplies with each other using play money or tokens.
There will be light refreshments served for a small fee so we can cover room rental.
Here are some guidelines.
Patterns
-Make sure all pieces are included, if any are missing note it on the envelope.
Fabric/Clothing
- Have any Stains/flaws marked (stickers are good for this).
- If you want to be super awesome (and you can remember) note down what it is and any special laundry requirements – i.e. Dry clean only)
- If you live in a smoking household pop it outside to air for a bit (or fabreeze it)
Other
If you are swapping paints/gesso/glue etc make sure they are not all caked up. No-one wants that, not even your Mum.
please drop us a line to let us know if you are coming.

The Fine Print!
All submissions to the swap meet will be assessed to maintain a minimum standard of quality.
Items that meet the standard will be exchanged for 1 token to swap on other
items.
Items that do not meet the standard must be taken away, or if you have no desire to keep them may be put into the ‘free to good home’ area.
Tokens cannot be redeemed or exchanged once the event is over.
Any items not swapped will remain with the SPCC and will be presented again at future swap meets.
No warranties apply to any items, express or implied.
Items given up for swap become the property of the SPCC until swapped with another attendee or if un-swapped will be held for the next meet.
Tokens have no monetary value, and are only valid at the swap meet of supply.

11th of December St Andrew's Hall.
This was a low-key costume optional evening of games, socialising and yummy nibbles. Also the grand unveiling of the 2010 fundraiser calender!

Thanks Josh for the photos! And a big thank you to all that attended - you rock!
